The classes are suitable for all levels, from artists who want to brush up on their skills to those who are just starting off in drawing. Each class goes over the basics techniques of drawing, followed by more complex exercises.
The sessions have a range of poses from one minute to twenty-five minutes, with different models each week. At some class there will be a long pose of over an hour (with breaks) where you can really get to grips to measuring, sighting, and all the other essential techniques of drawing from life.
Classes are held at The Ireland Institute, Pearse Street Dublin 2, and start at 6.30PM. We usually finish drawing at about 9PM, and often spend a bit of time discussing the work afterwards.
Tutor: the instructor has an Honours Degree in Painting from Central Saint Martins College, London and a Masters in Fine Art from NCAD, Dublin, where he teaches Painting and Drawing courses. He has a long experience teaching mixed ability groups.
